A moment of luxury for yourself, your baby, your mind and spirit. Here nature and science meet harmoniously as life begins. I can provide you a memorable and enjoyable birth experience.
I began my journey 10 years ago wanting to help women to get what they needed and deserved in their lives. I began helping women with fertility and hormonal imbalances from a homeopathic standpoint and my love for women grew.
When I was a little girl I always wanted to deliver babies, I played, pretended and eventually began to study about birth.
My mother had been a Labor and Delivery Nurse for 35 years before passing away from Cancer a year ago. I wanted to follow in her wonderful footsteps. I began nursing school but found that I was meant for something better, purer, more beautiful and with a little grace from God I was guided to becoming a Doula and eventually I will become a nurse midwife.
I have had 3 wonderful children of my own, hospital (epidural) hospital (induced) and a natural birth and I longed to help other women have a better birth experience than I had.
I will meet you for a free consultation, if you like me then perhaps I can have the honor of being your Doula.
A Doula is a woman experienced in childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to women throughout pregnancy, labor and after the birth.
The word 'Doula' comes from the Greek word meaning 'A woman who gives another woman help and assistance'.
A birth Doula is a professional, non medical labor assistant, whose role is to comfort the mother and father during birth, act as a liaison between the hospital staff and their birth family, and provide one-on-one care that the hospital staff, midwife or doctor may be unable to provide.
Their role is to support the mother, by educating and empowering women to make their own choices, I can do this for you. I can be there for you and answer all the questions about the birth and resolve any anxieties you may have.
A postpartum Doula cares for the mother and
infant after the birth. She teaches and guides
the mother into breastfeeding so that she is
comfortable with her infant
The postpartum Doula may visit the new mom
up to six weeks after birth all depending on the
mother's needs. And is available to you over the
phone if you just need a little reassurance.

During labor, I stay in constant, close proximity to you at all times. I will provide comfort with pain relief techniques, such as breathing, relaxing, massage and laboring positions.
I also encourage participation from your partner and offer reassurance. A doula acts as an advocate for the mother, encouragingher desires for her birth. The goal of a doula is to help the mother have a positive and safe birth experience, NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF BIRTH YOU CHOOSE TO DO.
After the birth, I will spend time helping you begin the breastfeeding process and encouraging bonding between the new baby and family members.
