Since taking over The North Arms at the end of October 2010, we have welcomed so many people through our doors, and would like to thank you all for such amazing feedback and support. The North Arms is a 16th century thatched inn situated in the beautiful village of Wroxton on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, within the heart of the rural Oxfordshire.
With easy accessibility to nearby historic towns Banbury, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Oxford, there is plenty to see and do! Check out our Local Links page for further information!

The North Arms is situated less than four miles away from Banbury town centre, in the small village of Wroxton.
If you are unfamiliar to the area, we strongly suggest taking a gentle stroll around the beautiful grounds of the old Wroxton Abbey, now part of America's Farleigh Dickinson University. The 15th century English Heritage building boasts stunning lakes and woodland and originally belonged to the 2nd Earl of Guilford and one time Prime Minister of England; Lord Frederick North who proudly used 'The North Arms' as his personal drinking hole!
The historic towns of Warwick, Stratford Upon Avon and Royal Leamington Spa are within 20 miles of Wroxton and public transport routes are easily accessible from the local town of Banbury.

Bloxham born Landlord; Mr Chris Hicks has made quite an impression on local cuisine having started his career as head chef of the well known Saye & Sele Arms in Broughton at the age of just 17. Having featured in many of the local papers and magazines for his culinary talents, he then became Oxfordshires youngest pub landlord in 2010 at the age of 24 taking over his first establishment; The North Arms Wroxton!
Horley girl and Chris's new wife Anneka (nee Naysmith) started her career in local media at the Banbury Guardian before becoming Sales and Marketing Director of the local radio station after a management buyout in 2008. She currently runs the bar and restaurant as Landlady of The North Arms as well as her own business; Adsome Marketing Ltd in her spare time.
Assistant Manager; David Taylor is a local farmer by trade in the neighbouring village of Horley and started his working career as a waiter at Wroxton House Hotel. Dave is a well known figure in the farming community among the local villages as an avid member of the National Farmers Union alongside being a member of many local sports teams.
Rosie Beck is the youngest member of staff at the North Arms, and as a Horley girl herself is also part of the local sporting community currently studying Sports Excellence and Performance at Henley In Arden College. She has been working with us at the North Arms since the first few weeks of new management and has quickly become a key member of the team offering a second-to-none service to our customers.
