Adryelle and The Silence is a 3-piece band from Baltimore, MD. They have been compared to Ben Folds, Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell and Tegan and Sara. The piano driven music has been stated as “ambient pop with dark edges…” but is not limited to one genre. They recently had a CD release party at the Recher Theater to announce their first full-length album, “Out of The Woods…” and will be promoting the album for the next several months.
Band Members:
Adryelle (piano, vocals, guitar, xylophone, accordian)
Adryelle is the front-woman and composer/writer for the band. She has been writing music since the age of 12, and has been playing music as long as she can remember. She plays various instruments, but writes primarily on the piano. She is a recent graduate of Towson University where she majored in Electronic Media and Film. She released an E.P. in 2010 under the name “Adryelle” called “The Glass Box” which can be purchased on iTunes.
Tony Nickolas (bass guitar)
Tony Nickolas recently joined the band as bassist, and has been apart of the band for about 6 months. Adryelle met him at the Black Hole open mic, where they became good friends. He also plays the guitar, drums and piano. He currently plays the bass for another group “Double Tap” and is working on a solo project under his name as well.
Paul Bond (drums and percussion)
Paul Bond joined Adryelle in early December of 2010 to add percussion to her music. The style of music meshed well together and they played a few shows with just the piano and the drums. It wasn’t long after that they started looking for a bassist. Paul is currently studying Music at Towson University.
