Believe it or not, there is an Yiddish proverb which goes like this: "What soap is to the body, laughter is to the soul". Laughter is an audible expression of happiness, or an inward feeling of joy. It may ensue from hearing a joke, being tickled, or other stimuli. It is in most cases a very pleasant sensation, unless of course some of your hobbies include sadomasochistic activities or the like.
Since you do not derive pleasure from experiencing excruciating self-inflicted pain, I shall only assume that you'll enjoy ACSian Theatre's latest comic production.
