Adesh Kaur (Barbara Hale) was born and raised in Minnesota. She worked as an actor in New York and Los Angeles for 25 years. She is published in ONTHEBUS 2010. Adesh lives in Los Angeles with her two children, Tennessee and Oliver.

About Adesh Kaur has always been a teacher. She is here to empower others and bring love, joy, and clarity into peoples' lives.When she was growing up in Minnesota, she used to make her little sister and brother sit for hours in the basement so that she could teach them the alphabet on a green chalkboard. They could only be released when their mother intervened. But Adesh just loved to teach.During high school and college, she worked as a professional model in the U.S. and Europe. But teaching was never far from her mind and heart. She instructed high school art students, and developed self-improvement courses for teenage girls. For many years, she produced charity fashion shows for large organizations such as Nike and Nordstrom. After moving to New York to train as a professional actor, she co-founded the New Theater Guild, in conjunction with Playwrights Horizons. Building a successful acting career, she performed Off-Broadway, in Central Park, and worked on the soap opera, Another World.In 1990, Adesh moved to Los Angeles, and soon had two children, Tennessee and Oliver. She continued to work in film, television, theatre and commercials; and starred in a short film "Ah, Charity," which won several awards and screened at the Director's Guild. She also founded Our House Studios to teach acting classes to children and teens, as well as Special Needs kids.When Adesh began studying Kundalini yoga, she found that Kundalini held powerful tools of transformation -- and naturally, she wanted to share her wonderful new discovery with others. Adesh received her spiritual name in 2002 from Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga. "Adesh Kaur" means "Princess of the Divine Order of God." That was it, the moment of realization, the AH-HA! She knew that that she had to take the rigorous, 8 month teacher training. She completed the course and became a certified Kundalini instructor. Since then, she has been inspiring students from all walks of life.
