OUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY is to draw strength from our organic reinventive style, and inspired by our environment. Our design integrates local techniques, and recycled materials to create high quality exclusive products. Conscious Design lies in the production process, we minimize imports and integrate local and recycled materials such as wood, leather, banners, glass and capulana fabrics.

'25S32E'
'25S32E' is the latest furniture collection designed by Studio Dandoen in collaboration with Kuva (italian designer). The collection has unique handmade furniture pieces made with local carpenters. The furniture has a strong formal and conceptual reference to Maputo and its architecture. This concept is directly transformed into the pattern and color of the furniture, reflecting within it the city where the pieces are constructed.

DANDOEN BAGS The studio has an innovative way to find new uses for materials that are labelled 'garbage and valueless'.
These bags, wallets and other products are mainly made from Mozambican publicity banners, which can be found all over Mozambique.
After use the banners normally end up on the garbage dump, creating pollution and health problems. In the atelier, these banners are transformed into fashionable bags and other products.
BABY SLING Also known as a baby wrap is a method very commonly used by African mothers to carry their child. Typically you see the baby on the back or side wrapped in a capulana material. We have made various baby carriers with matching bags for fathers and mothers alike. It is easily placed upon the chest, is secure and allows for multi-tasking.
