Register for Napa Valley
NAB will be hosting a Pre-Convention excursion to Napa Valley on Friday, May 28th.
Depart from Convention Hotel: 7am
Lunch at noon in Downtown Napa (on your own)
Arrive back at Convention Hotel by 4:30pm for convention registration.
We will be visiting 3 wineries in Calistoga, St. Helena, and Sonoma. The total cost is $50 which includes transportation, wine tastings, tours, and even an aerial tram at one of the wineries. Transportation will be provided by your lovely ladies of National Alumnae Board. =) Also, payment can be made the day of the trip.

Now announcing the...aKDPhi Photography Contest!
Here's how to participate:
1. Upload photos (Limit:3) to http://www.flickr.com/groups/akdphialum/
or email them to akdphi.alumnaeweb_gmail.com
2. Photos must portray the theme: 'Empowerment in Asian Women'
3. All photos must be accompanied by the following:
- Title
- Caption
- Everyone's name in the picture from L to R
- Your Name
- Chapter's Name
Photos should be candid pictures that focus on spontaneity - meaning it should be interesting, engaging and arresting to the viewer. Examples of candid pictures include images catching naturally smiling faces, heartfelt embraces, and basicallycatching life in the act.
Photos will be judged on originality and nature of content.
Prize details:
The winners will be announced during banquet at Convention 2010. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place as well as the GRAND PRIZE WINNER!

Purpose
The purpose of the National Alumnae Association is to:
The National Alumnae Board (NAB) is a national organization started to coordinate the growth of alpha Kappa Delta Phi, Inc.'s alumnae network across the world. The NAB is a separate entity from the National Board that currently governs aKDPhi actives. The NAB maintains its own budget to fund alumnae-geared activities and occasionally works in conjunction with the National Board to govern the existing chapters.
History
alpha Kappa Delta Phi was established at the University of California at Berkeley in the Fall of 1998 and was recognized on February 7, 1990 by the College Panhellenic Association. The sisterhood has since spread to prominent university campuses across the country, thus expanding the growth of the sorority's reputation. To meet the needs of the growing sisterhood, the National Board of alpha Kappa Delta Phi was established in May of 1993 at the National Convention in Santa Barbara, California.
To continue the sisterhood after graduation, the National Alumnae Board of alpha Kappa Delta Phi was established in the Fall of 2002 under the initiation of the National Board Alumnae Chair, Sophia Yen, UC Berkeley alumna. The 2002-2003 National Alumnae Board then set the foundation for the establishment of the National Alumnae Association.
