March 1969, and Tony Wyn-Jones made his Radio One debut
with Keith Skues as co-presenter of the Radio One Club,
and also introduced the Christmas day edition of Junior choice
on Radio One & Two, replacing that rugby legend Cliff Morgan.
Tony’s stretch on Radio One lasted until 1973.
Throughout the 60’s & 70’s Tony was a firm favorite on the Top Rank
circuit, whilst keeping up many public appearances at various venues with
many of the big names i.e. Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Merseybeats, Hollies, Status Quo, and Rod Stewart to name but a few...
In the Summer of 1991 Tony Wyn-Jones made a comeback with a very successful Summer Season at the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl with Owen Money & The Train Robbers.
1992 saw Tony at several of the Haven Holiday Centres hosting a 60’s and Soul package show with many of the big names of the 60’s, Dave Berry, Jess Conrad, Edwin Starr etc. Whilst continuing to tour the country and hosting several radio shows, as well as various appearances on Welsh & National Television.
Tony’s road show has all of those fantastic hits of years gone by, from the 1940’s
to the present. Plus if required, a quiz with prizes to test your memories of those fantastic years!
Tony is now available for all your special nights and functions, including specialist music events and recently hosted several very successful 1940’s Fancy Dress nights!
