About the Artist
Susan Diane Green knew she wanted to be a photographer when she picked up an old Brownie at the age of eleven and photographed her great grandfather Luigi, who had emigrated to this country from Italy. Her passion blossomed she was working at Walt Disney World, photographing her fellow dancers, and she always loved the beauty and character that came through in a sensitively captured image.
She opened her first studio with a friend while working at Disney part-time with an old 8x10 camera taking vintage style portraits for tourists. She then moved to Boston and began shooting a combination of weddings and portraits.
Upon returning to Florida she began photographing editorial fashion and portraits for several local magazines and newspapers. From this experience she developed her style into a unique blend of photojournalism and magazine imagery that results in candid yet flattering and dynamic photographs. She has won awards from the Florida Magazine Association, the Addie Awards, and numerous others for her editorial work. Her favorite subject to photograph is her skateboarding, personality plus son.
