Daniel Clarke, Solo Cornet
A year ago I couldn't read music, let alone play an instrument but I thought it would look quite impressive on my CV if I made stuff up about having played a trumpet in school bands and orchestras. Unfortunately my bluff was called at the interview for my current job when it transpired that the son of the head of my group plays the Baritone in the Band (Charlie "Leather Lips" Reed).
In order to try and keep my job and to prevent any further investigation of my other ficticious qualifications I took a crash course of Cornet lessons and now find myself playing in the Band itself. It really has opened my eyes up to a whole new world and when I grow up I want to become a professional musician, just like Graham who is now my role model.
