Mission Statement
The Ouachita Baptist University SIFE Students in Free Enterprise Ouachita Baptist chapter exists to teach market economics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, business ethics, and success skills in order to aid in the application of those skills for personal economical growth.
What exactly is SIFE?
OBU SIFE desires to help the community to have more economic opportunities by giving them the resources they need to be successful in the business world.
What do Students in SIFE do?
Students in SIFE develop projects to meet our goal of helping people in the community by creating economic opportunity. At the end of the school year, we prepare a presentation of our accomplishments for the regional SIFE competition. SIFE is a global organization on more than 1,700 colleges and university campuses in 42 countries and territories. Globally, SIFE projects impact nearly 4 million people. Competitions are held at the Regional, National, and International level.
How does SIFE help students?
OBU SIFE helps its members by allowing them to further develop and refine their leadership skills. SIFE provides opportunity to help others be successful economically. Through servant leadership, SIFE promotes the goals of Ouachita Baptist University.
