to our class webpage
We're into our 3rd quarter now. We have 21 students in class with the addition of a couple since the beginning of school and the loss of one who moved.
I see quite a of progress in your children. It would be good for them to practice writing at home if they don't already do so. We look for capital letters, periods and complete sentences (but not ones that run on and on.) Ask your child to use his or her best handwriting.
I appreciate all the moms and dads who come in periodically to help.

ABOUT ME
I've lived in Virginia Beach for 11 years now. I taught one year of science in a middle school and 7 years of 5th grade before moving to 1st grade 2 years ago. This is my 3rd year of teaching 1st grade at the beach. Early in my teaching career I taught Kindergarten (3 years), 4th grade (1 year) and then 5th grade (4 years) in the country in Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay. I even taught French in high school for 5 months substituting for the teacher who was battling cancer.
I am the mom of 4 sons. They are all grown now with jobs of their own...earning more than mom!
I'm married to a great guy who is a musician. He plays guitar and has his own band. We have music in common as I also play guitar.
Some of my interests include music, reading, languages, photography and computers.
