Location -- 2695 South Kihei Road, Kihei
Kamaole Sands Resort is in Kihei, Hawaii on the amazing island of Maui. It is located right across the street from Kamaole Beach Park III, a world class swimming beach staffed with ocean safety officers. Nearby, there are shops, restaurants, more fabulous beaches, public transportation, Kihei Boat Ramp where many dive and snorkel boats put in, and it is 5 minutes from Wailea. Public transportation is available right outside the resort gate.
Building 10 is the most sought after location in the resort and it is close to a convenient gated entrance/exit. Our condo looks out on the beautiful landscape with the colored fountains and ocean beyond. The concrete building buffers noise and there is an elevator for access to the second floor.
When you arrive, you will use the main entrance and check in at the front desk...after that you may avoid the drive through the complex by entering and exiting through the convenient gate right near Building 10!

Owner Profile
We are pleased to be your island hosts and hope we will meet or exceed your expectations for a pleasant place to call home while on vacation. Maui is an exceptional place on earth and when we moved here from Portland Oregon in 2001, it took little time to feel truly blessed. We also intuitively knew that we needed to 'give back' to the community in any way possible. We helped build a coastal pedestrian trail, work with and help protect native seabirds, restore local dune structure, remove rubbish from immediate coastal areas, work with a local park Action Team and helped develop a Park Watch program (MauiParkWatch.com). In addition, we became active members of the Kihei Community Association and The Rotary Club of Kihei Wailea.
As we worked on our outside projects, passers by would ask to join us so we started a loose grass-roots organization of individuals who want to help make a difference; Hoaloha 'Aina (Friends of the Land). Please feel free to join us any Monday morning from 7:30am-9:30am as we remove invasive species, cut in or maintain beach access trails, plant native species, pick up rubbish, install sand fencing, mulch trails, weed, or any number of other projects along our Kamaole Beaches or Coastal Heritage Trail right across the street from Kamaole Sands Resort. Also known as South Maui Volunteers ( SouthMauiVolunteers.com ) look for our bright green vests with that name. If you decide to join us, we have gloves and tools for you to use. We have also teamed up with the Pacific Whale Foundation for their "Volunteers on Vacation" program, and you may collect a special gift at their location in Maalaea as a thank you gift for your volunteer effort during your holiday!
We hope to see you along the trail!
Tip: Mahalo (mah-HAH-low) is the way to say 'Thank you'!

Please contact us to confirm that your desired dates are available. Please sign documents we will email you and to send a deposit check for $250. Your reservation is not considered confirmed until the deposit and signed paperwork is received, but we will 'hold' the reservation for you for 7 days. Please note the Cancellation Policy under the 'Rates' tab and additional payment policies.
If you prefer to use a credit card, you may elect to pay your deposit and /or full balance through PayPal. As we are not a retail business and cannot support the incurred fees from credit card transactions, a 2.9% USD convenience fee will apply (CDN 3.9%; Other International by quote). We understand that many people today receive mileage or other perks when they use their card and that a credit card is therefore a more preferrable payment option, so we have set up our account with Paypal to be able to accommodate those wishes.
Tip: In Hawaiian, there are only 12 letters 7 consonants and 5 vowels. No wonder the words seem long and there is a lot of repetition in the sounds! Try to sound out each letter in a word and you'll come pretty close to saying it correctly, but remember... a is pronounced ah, e is pronounced ay, i is pronounced ee, o is oh, and u is you. All set? Try it out! The Kamaole Beaches (Kah-mah-OH-lay) and Keawakapu (kay-ah-vah-KAH-poo) are the among the best beaches on Maui! The Queen Kaahumanu Center is the main shopping mall on Maui.
