Leanne King is an award winning Adelaide based Fine-Art photographer and Artist who has been running Crackerjack Photographic Studios from her Torrens Park home/studio for the last twelve years. She took up painting last year and following a successful exhibition added contemporary art to her services.
Her paintings are bold creative abstracts exploring the clash between nature and technology and the resulting impact on human emotions.
With photography becoming more computer orientated I felt the need to break away and do something hands on creatively. The push out of my comfort zone has opened a whole new world for me which I can't get enough of. With it has come a new lease of life for my photograhy as well with the completion of personal projects and an upcoming exhibition showcasing two very different art forms.
"The Art of Life" Expressions in painting and photography - will be running from August 7th untill the 23rd during the SALA festival at SHOTZ club in the city.
The "Mindshade trilogy" and "Light of the Deep" are being exhibited at the Audi Scotch Art Exhibition from may 21st until the 24th
Leanne has two other art exhibitions planned for this year fitting around the South Australian and National photographic awards.
2009 has brought many oportunities and the direction I'm heading in could lead me anywhere...what an exiting journey it could be!
