Our Country's Good by Timberlake Wertenbaker is based on the true story of the first convicts shipped to Botany Bay in Australia, and their attempt at a production of Farquhar's 'The Recruiting Officer'. This moving and passionate play explores slavery, love, justice, sexuality, and the powerful, enobling, redeeming force of theatre and art.
