In LUTG acting isn't the only thing you can do! We manage all aspects of our productions.
Each show we put on requires a large amount of backstage work, which is why each show has a production team. These teams consist of at least:
A Director (Who takes rehearsals and directs the actors)
A Producer (Responsible for finance and publicity)
A Stage manager (Responsible for technical aspects of the production such as the set, lighting, costumes etc).
Depending on the size of the production, jobs may be split and people may specialise in particular areas. However, if you don't fancy committing to a production you can just be a general techie and help out whenever a production team needs more hands!
To get involved at the start of term come along to auditions and have a word with the production teams, or e-mail the LUTG account and we'll sort something out for you!
