Kurien Kalarickal.
I live in Singapore, working as a Business Analyst mostly for Government projects at The Software Practice.
This is my UX Design portfolio.
And right now?
Doing a 100 days of UI challenge. Reading "100 things every designer needs to know about people". Brushing up my español, اردو and 中文
I grew up in India and Singapore. My degree is in Life Sciences. Yup, science nerd.
I used to work as a Qualification Engineer for Pharmaceuticals. For 10 years. I particularly liked devising tests and reviewing them to establish compliance of equipment, processes, and software. I have worked with the big ones like Pfizer, MSD, Novartis, and Genentech in Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and China. (Oh yes, I loved my extended overseas stints.)
But I wanted to find something where I could utilize my creative skills also. So, when I had enough savings, I took the plunge, did a course in UX design and worked in several freelance and full-time roles with startups, SMEs and an MNC for 3 years. I got to be the UX lead of an international team that was building MSD's e-commerce platform. I know, what are the chances!
I was doing a course in Digital Transformation and Change Management by BCG when one of my ex-clients approached me with my current role et voila, here we are.
Outside of work, I have a blue belt in jiu-jitsu. I dabble in music, drawing, languages and linguistics, and I like taking artsy photos.
