Ten Green Dragons
Just a Thought
In the cave dwelt dragons ten.
One fell fighting four horsemen.
In the cave dwelt dragons nine.
One went down the deep, dark mine.
In the cave dwelt dragons eight.
Two forgot to hiberate.
In the cave dwelt dragons six.
One dropped dead from politics.
In the cave dwelt dragons five.
One took a dive in overdrive.
In the cave dwelt dragons four.
One got struck by a meteor.
In the cave dwelt dragons three.
One ran off with a chimpanzee.
In the cave dwelt dragons two.
One went onto the King's menu.
In the cave dwelt dragons one.
Laid ten eggs and then was gone.

I'm creeping up behind you,
inside, I blind you,
I'm the darkness,
bad voices in your head.
I'm fear, ten feet tall,
the shadow on the wall,
I'm the coldness
that creeps up your bed.
I'm the horror in your mind,
I'm cruel and unkind,
I'm the devil
that wakes you at night.
You don't know who I am?
Good, that was my plan -
I'm just a scary thought
that gives you ... a
FRIGHT!
By Matt Black
I rise at midnight from the black swamp
Beyond the city, where gaunt trees scrape at the sky.
I find my way by smell. A dog barks as I pass:
I put him to silence. Your garden walls
Are no barrier to me; I enter as I please.
In through cracks between bricks I slide,
Into the kitchen, where I make my preparations.
Nobody hears me as I climb the stairs.
