Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How do I join the library?
A. All pupils are automatically members of the library when they start school, so there are no forms to fill in and sign!
Q. How long can I borrow a book for?
A. 2 weeks (but you can renew your book at the library if you need it longer)
Q. How many items can I borrow?
A. Up to 3 items
Q. What happens if my book is overdue?
A. If your book is late, the library DOES NOT charge fines for overdue items. We do ask that you bring the item back as soon as possible. If your book is a few weeks late, you will get a reminder in your register. If your book is VERY late, a letter will be sent home to your parents/guardians. Pupils with books more than 1 month overdue will NOT be allowed to use the library at breaks
Q. What happens if I lose a book?
A. If you lose your book, then you will have to pay the full cost of the lost item.
Q. Can I reserve a book from the library?
A. Yes. If the book you want is not available, you may ask the librarian to reserve it for you.
Q. Am I allowed to use the computers at break?
A. Yes, of course! But only for school work, not to play games.
Q. What are the library rules?
A. Our rules are:
No food or drink in the library
Please act sensibly and quietly.
Do not play games on the computers
Please keep the library tidy
