Jerry the Bear
Jerry the Bear is a folk musician who grew up in Chicago. His father enjoyed bluegrass music and bought Jerry a banjo when he was 10. Jerry credits his father with his love and appreciation of bluegrass and old-timey country music. Jerry's mother is from Haiti, and this too has had a profound influence on Jerry's playing and singing style.
When not making music, Jerry is a freelance handyman and jack-of-all-trades, and enjoys sewing, gardening, carpentering, and rescuing old bikes.
