Day 1: Cape Town
Guests are met upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport and transferred to the Sacred Mountain Spa in the picturesque Cape suburb of Noordhoek. Surrounded by the peaks of Table Mountain on three sides and the ocean to the front. The view and sunset across the ocean is nothing short of spectacular.
The rest of the day is spent relaxing after the long journey with spa treatments.
During the early evening, guests are invited to a traditional South African dinner with their hosts and treated to welcome gifts.

Day 2: Cape Town
Breakfast will be served beneath the whispering oaks of a sanctuary garden.
Guests are taken on a tour to Robben Island, one of South Africa’s world heritage sites, once home to some of South Africa’s most famous political prisoners, including Nelson Mandela. Robben Island is one of South Africa’s most visited tourist attractions.
Lunch will be enjoyed at the V&A Waterfront.
After lunch we visit the Two Oceans Aquarium which is home to over 3000 species
of ocean life.
The late afternoon is devoted to a scenic drive through some of the picturesque areas
around Cape town.
Dinner will be at one of Cape Town’s famous restaurants. After dinner, guests are
invited to some wine, cigars and chocolate back at the spa.

Day 3: Cape Town
After coffee and breakfast in the dining area before embarking on a morning tour of Cape Town and all that this city has to offer.
The best view of Cape Town is seen from the top of Table Mountain. The cableway was opened in 1929 and takes you to the highest point at 1085m. After all the mountaineering, lunch will be on the top of the mountain.
Then it is off to the world-renowned Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, to view the beauty and diversity of the Cape flora and experience the magnificence of its settings against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.
Groot Constantia is our next stop. Enjoy a tour of history and wine in true Cape Dutch style. Mother nature smiled when she prepared the Constantia Valley. She bestowed on her the influence of the sun, wind, oceans and fertile soil, and then challenged her to plant vineyards and make excellent wines. Early supper in true French style at the La Colombe Restaurant. The eatery is filled with the colors and flavors of the French countryside.
Then it’s back to Sacred Mountain Spa. Guests are invited to join us at Drum Café where
the guests are beating the drum. A total new experience to night life.

Day 4: Cape Town
Breakfast is served early and our guests are taken on the next adventure.
We will depart from Cape Town station on one of South Africa’s most famous trains, the ultra luxurious Rovos Rail. Lunch is served in the dining car as we head towards Worcester.
We arrive in Ashton for a wine tasting excursion, and dinner is served in the dining car as we travel towards Voorbaai.
The evening is spend in true
nostalgia of a time long forgotten.

Day 5: George & Knysna
Breakfast is served as we pass through the quaintly named towns of Kleinbrakrivier and Grootbrakrivier. Some dramatic scenery which brings to life the grandeur of the garden route is enjoyed by a means of travel which reminds one of a gentler and more romantic age and is sure to make this an unforgettable experience. The Pride of Africa arrives in George where we disembark.
Then we are off to Knysna, wrapped snugly in thick, indigenous forests. The town nestles on the shores of the Knysna Lagoon, at the foot of the Outeniqua mountains.
We will also join the southernmost elephants in the world. The park offers a rare and exciting opportunity to get close to these gentle giants with elephant back rides.
Lunch will be at one of the local restaurants. Oysters, the aphrodisiac of the sea, will be only
one of the fresh delicacies on the menu.
Turning Tides Bed and Breakfast will welcome us. Located on the Leisure Isle in the famous
Knysna Lagoon. This is the ideal location to relax.
Dinner, in the true South African tradition, is guaranteed to be another highlight of the day.

Day 6: Knysna
The African dawn is filled with bird song and the sounds of a land awakening to the new day. Breakfast will be in true English style, and the rest of the day is at your leisure.
Picnic for lunches can be arranged. Explore the beauty that this little town has to offer - the day is there to shop and enjoy at your own pace.
Dinner will be at a Restaurant in Knysna.

Day 7: Garden Route Game Lodge
This is our last morning in Knysna and after we enjoyed a hearty breakfast with a view of the lagoon, we will make our way to the Garden Route Lodge where you will experience the Big Five.
This exclusive lodge is currently home to giraffe, white rhino, lion, elephant, buffalo and some 24 other species. The cheetah conservation centre provides visitors with an insight into the plight of this critically endangered species.
On our arrival at the lodge we will have a light lunch.
Dinner and an evening game drive follow. Game drives are led by experienced and knowledgeable game rangers, who share their knowledge of big game as well as the many other antelope species, birdlife and local African folklore.

Day 8: Garden Route Game Lodge
Wake up to a scene straight from Out of Africa. Breakfast will be served in the dining area and the morning game drive will bring the possibility to encounter a kill that was made the night before. The fresh air on the back of an open vehicle will bring you so close to the wonder of nature - an experience second-to-none.
Garden Route game lodge is also home to 7 lions that arrived at the lodge in 2000. The lions have adapted well to their new environment. Their story of survival will provide visitors with an educational experience and enlighten them on the plight of these magnificent beasts.
Light lunch at the bush bar where we will quench our dry throats.
No stay at the Garden Route Game Lodge is complete without a tour of the world class reptile
centre. The resident curator will share his knowledge of over 26 species of snakes, crocodiles
and other cold blooded creatures. An absolute must for those wanting to overcome their fear of
snakes.
Dinner in the dining area and an evening game drive where there is always a possibility
to encounter something unforgettable.
Day 9: Robertson
We enjoy our last breakfast at Garden Route Game Lodge and then we are on our way to Robertson.
Nestled in the shadow of the majestic Langeberg Mountains with the Breede River as its life blood, this 150-year-old town is steeped in history, and has grown into one of the most attractive Cape wineland towns.
Little France is a fifth generation family farm and offers luxury and
indulgence. You can relax in the magnificent garden or meditate
in the gazebo, both offering magnificent views.
Dinner will be at a restaurant in this lovely town.

Day 10: Lambert’s Bay
It's off to an early start as guests indulge in a farm breakfast.
This day is taking us to the tiny fishing village of Lambert's Bay on the west coast. The main attraction is “Die Muisbosskerm”. Situated right on the beach, this restaurant is a West Coast legend where you'll experience seafood second-to-none!
The sunset will mesmerize you, and the breeze from the ocean is cool and fresh. Like nothing you have ever experienced.

Day 11: Paternoster
If you did not eat yourself into oblivion the night before, enjoy a breakfast in the lovely dining area of Sir Lamberts Guest House.
Paternoster is our next stop. Latin for “Our Father”, Paternoster ostensibly took its name from the heartfelt prayers of shipwrecked Portuguese sailors.The hotel has the best bar in the world, and we will have lunch there.
The nearby Cape Columbine Nature Reserve with the well-known Tietiesbaai
offers beautiful wildflowers during September. Whales and dolphins also visit
these waters ten months of the year.
We will visit the west Coast Fossil Park. For bird lovers this is a paradise as
this is home to 250 species of birds.
Dinner will be at the hotel and (weather permitting) will be served outside. The
bar is a hot spot where one will mingle with the interesting locals and a definite
for a nightcap. Just be warned - the night might end late if the locals have their
way!

Day 12: Paternoster
After breakfast, the day is yours to spend in and around this very special fishing village.
Visit the Cape Columbine Lighthouse, built in South Africa in 1936 and the last manned lighthouse in the area.
Other places of interest are the Fisherman’s Cottage, the Art of Pottery Studio and the
fresh fish market when the fishing boats come in. Maybe you would want to catch your
own dinner with one of the angling trips.
Light lunch - you might be lucky to join the locals to watch a rugby match and catch
some of the local flavour.
The rest of the day you can spend at leisure. Some attractions include Beach Buggy
trips along the coastline, long walks on the beach and spear fishing excursions.
The last night on this coast with a mystery of its own. Bury your toes in the sand while
sipping your favourite drink as dinner will be served on the beach.

Day 13: Cape Town
Enjoy a leisurely morning breakfast and browse through the local newspapers before we make our way back to Cape Town.
Our first stop is Green Point flea market, the largest outdoor market in Cape Town. Here we will be entertained with music, crafts and loads of traditional African art pieces and curios are for sale. Find that special gift or memento to take home. Lunch will be at this colourful venue (only open on Sundays).
Next up, we will transport you through the night skies at the Planetarium, located at the South African Museum at top of the Cape Town gardens. Lean back and relax as you gaze up at the dome roof where the night sky is projected and enjoy the fascinating display. From the comfort of your chair, this is an incredible way to gain a greater understanding of what lies beyond planet earth. Should you feel like a tour of the South African Museum, we would gladly assist.
The Brenwin Guesthouse, our lodgings for tonight, has successfully combined the character of history with modern comforts. The ambience will make you feel right at home. The evening will be yours to spend at any of the restaurant nearby.

Day 14: Cape Town
After breakfast, the adventures start.
We offer a more sedate way of viewing the historical landmarks of Cape Town in a horse drawn carriage that will take you to The Castle, where can explore this old landmark.
After lunch at The Victoria & Albert Waterfront, which should set the tone for a more sophisticated afternoon, we visit Signal Hill and the Rhodes Memorial.
Relax back at the guesthouse, but just a note, Ladies: Get that little black
number out for a night at the theatre. We head to the Star Dust restaurant for
a theatrical dining experience at its best. Performing waiters, amazing food…
in short, an unforgettable encounter.
Day 15: Cape Town
A hearty breakfast to replenish the body after the night before!
Today you will plan your trip and tell us where you would like to go. Whatever your fancy, we will give it our best endeavour to make it happen.
Day 16: Stellenbosch
Breakfast and an early start. We are off to Stellenbosch via the Wine Route, which was established in April 1971 by the late Neil Joubert of Spier, Frans Malan of Simonsig and Spatz Sperling of Delheim.
The Wine Route, synonymous with a variety of international award winning red and white wines, comprises of 44 cellars that, between them, produce a large range of red and white wines.
The route takes you along several winding country roads dotted with
white-washed homesteads and tradition rich cellars that peep out
from within vine covered hills and valleys.
Lunch will be at one of these cellars in the spectacular gardens that
surround these cellars. Get ready for wine, wine and more wine.
We will treat our guests to a lovely dinner out under the night sky.
Later you can relax and soak you body either in the heated pool or
the Jacuzzi with a glass of wine.

Day 17: Stellenbosch
We enjoy breakfast at one of the most scenic spots on the estate before we start our day. This region is home to some of the finest architecture in the country and also creates the backdrop to some of the country’s most beautiful and historically significant towns.
We visit the town of Franschhoek and devote some time to sampling some of South Africa's top wines. The wine-producing region is one of the highlights of this South African Tour. Food, ranging from chocolates, cheese and homemade ice cream, can be viewed, and off course, tasted.
Indulge your creative side with the Franschhoek Meander. This art, crafts and antiques route meanders through the village and surrounding areas and visits skilled craftsmen, specialty shops and the Hugenote Memorial Museum.
Now it is time for a little heritage and history. Nelson Mandela was incarcerated in the local
Drakenstein prison just before being freed in 1990. Visit this famous jail and walk “the long
walk to freedom” of his release.
Rock Lobster invites you to a special dinner at Nederburg Cellars to conclude this tour. We
will enjoy divine dinner and make sure that, as our special guest, you will take home a
piece of Africa.

This African dream adventure has come to an end. Spend the day to buy those final mementoes. Lunch will be at one of the local restaurants in Stellenbosch.

Day 2: Dullstroom
Wake up to the voice of another world rejuvenated go for a quick swim in the heated pool, before breakfast. Then we are off to the start of our African Safari.
Next stop will be the town of Dullstroom. This little village is most popular in winter, perhaps due to the appeal of that "sherry in front of a log-fire", but still an experience.
Critchley Hackle Hotel captures the unique character of Dullstroom the timeless stone architecture and lakeside setting evoking an atmosphere of rural tranquility.

The late afternoon is devoted to a scenic drive through some of the picturesque
areas that this landscape has to offer. Shopping for African art, glass and more.
We will have afternoon tea in old English tradition with a hint of Africa.
Dinner will be at Critchley Hackele Hotel. Vintage wine and fine dining is
on the menu.
After dinner, guests are invited to some wine, cigars and chocolate by
a crackling fire under the bright African stars.

Day 3: Pilgrims Rest
It is off to an early start as coffee and breakfast are enjoyed in the dining area before embarking onto the next stop of our African Safari. Pilgrims Rest a living museum - the entire town has been declared a national Monument - taking the visitors to the day of old Transvaal Gold Rush.
Pilgrim's Rest was declared a gold field in 1873, soon after digger Alec "Wheelbarrow" Patterson had found gold deposits in Pilgrim's Creek. The Valley proved to be rich in gold and by the end of the year, there were about 1500 diggers working in the area.
As a result, Pilgrim's Rest became a social center of the diggings. The story still travels that if you listen closely you can hear the sound of the gold rush days. The Royal Hotel in Pilgrim's Rest is perhaps one of South Africa's best known hotels. This national monument is famous for its atmosphere and world class service and facilities. This will be our next over night destination

Day 4: Shingalana Bush Lodge
With its impressive scenery, The Blyde River Canyon Reserve offers visitors a remarkable experience that they will still remember long after leaving the lowveld. This 29 000 hectare reserve is set against the Greater Drakensberg escarpment, stretching from the high mist lands down to the hotter and drier lowveld at the Blyde River Dam.
The unique geological features at Bourkes Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels and Gods Window are all place that you need to see and experience.
Lunch will be in Hoedspruit and then we are of to the Shingalana Bush Camp situated in the Klaserie Nature Reserve that forms part of the Kruger National Park.
Shingalana Camp is found along a bend of the seasonal Ntsiri River. The magic of the wilderness all within a "Big Five" reserve, Shingalana is the perfect bush destination.
An exquisite blend of timber, thatch and authentic screeded floors, the main lodge hosts a cozy sandstone fireplace warming a spacious and comfortable lounge.The open-plan kitchen lounge invites a warm and social atmosphere. Sliding doors open onto a large deck overlooking the scenic riverine landscape.
For those warm African days, guests may relax at the infinity pool while keeping watch over the nearby waterhole, frequented by thirsty elephants and giraffes, and the Big Five.

Day 5: Shingalana Bush Lodge
Experience the break of a new day with fresh coffee on your private deck overlooking the waterhole and breakfast will be served here to you.
Then it is of with a professional guide on a bush walk before the African sun gets to hot. This is the most humbling experience to see the wonder of Africa.
Then it is back to the camp for a light lunch. Relax at the pool and enjoy the tranquil setting of this magnificent place.
Later the afternoon we will go on an Elephant Back Safari. This troop of orphaned elephants came together when Jabulani just a year old got trapped in a mud pool near Phalaborwa. His herd attempted to rescue Jabulani but to no avail. Human intervention was called for and Jabulani was rescued. With no place to go Lente Roode took this baby and after a few years found a family for him with 12 orphaned elephants from Zimbabwe. To sit on the back of these gentle giants is truly a memorable and humbling experience.
Then it is back to the camp and dinner will be under the star lit African sky.

Day 6: Shingalana Bush Lodge
Seeing the rare King Cheetah we need to get started early. The rangers call into the bush and an elephant appears to accompany us on this lion bush walk. An orphaned lion cup will tag along just for the fun.
Breakfast will be served after the walk.
The rest of the morning will be at you leisure.
Lunch will be back at the camp.
The afternoon we will take you on an exciting Micro light Flight over this African plain that is beautiful beyond words.
Dinner will be in true African style. Entertainment at dinner will set a scene of the heart beat of Africa.
