Educational Concierge was started because as a parent I was fustrated with the lack of support treachers actually received.
I hated that teachers had to supplement their needs at out of their own pocket. I thought about what if doctors had to pay for their own tools when the hospital ran out. It just wasn't right. So I started to help my son's teachers and then I thought why not try to help all teachers.
To make sure I stayed on track with the what I felt were the biggest issues facing the teachers in my area I came up with a list of goals to strive toward.
Our Goals are to:
1.Provide public school teachers with the materials they need every school year so they will not have to supplement classroom needs out of their own paycheck by pairing individual teachers with corporate or community sponsorship.
2.Provide students with an enhanced educational experience through the use of educational seminars with the help of community experts.
3.Provide teachers with the research, support and information they need to utilize other non profit organizations and apply for grants.
4.Provide students and their parents with the information they need to get involved in or participate in community events, summer programs, internships and other activities through the use of on campus fairs that bring the community to the school.
5.Provide a forum for teachers and students to barter for classroom or special projects needs.
6.Provide for salaries and/or grants and/or scholarships to get teaching assistants in overcrowded classrooms.
7.Provide scholarships and grants to teachers and students for varied educational endeavors.
