OOOH LA LAOOOH LA LA aka "Lily" is a daughter of the amazing mover and gentleman extraordinaire, Golden Ecstasy (Gold N Ali x DRA Burgundy Rose by Burgundy Sun). Her dam Echo Empress is a beautiful daughter of Triple Crown National Champion stallion Echo Magnifficoo and out of a Spanish-bred mare.
OOOH LA LA aka "Lily" is a daughter of the amazing mover and gentleman extraordinaire, Golden Ecstasy (Gold N Ali x DRA Burgundy Rose by Burgundy Sun). Her dam Echo Empress is a beautiful daughter of Triple Crown National Champion stallion Echo Magnifficoo and out of a Spanish-bred mare.
Lily is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. This filly is currently two years old, and has had extensive handling / ground training. She has the most incredible mind - she is not at all spooky and LOVES to work! She is still growing, currently stands right at 15 hands. I expect her to mature somewhere between 15-15.2 hands tall.
Here is some additional information on Lily's ground handling/training:
• stands tied
• great to pick up feet/stands well for the farrier
• loads / hauls
• great to clip - even her ears!
• bathing - not difficult to bathe but it is not her favorite thing
• has not been blanketed but do not see this as being an issue for her
• stands great to have legs booted
• lunges
• fine with wearing a lunging surcingle
• trained for halter
Additional information about Lily's temperament:
• Lily loves EVERYBODY!!!!!! She is the friendliest thing, so adorable how she will leave her food &/or her buddies to come see you.
• EASY EASY EASY to catch! Meets you at the gate and practically pushes her face into the halter.
• Lily gets along fantastically with other horses - so far I have yet to see a horse she didn't love! I have had her pastured with several different horses over the past year and a half and Lily is the first horse to become the new horse's "buddy." She is not at all aggressive or dominant with the horses she is turned out with.
• Because Lily wants the attention of her human so badly, if you are with another horse that is in her same pasture Lily will do her best to push her way to the front to get your attention.
• Lily is NOT spooky!!! She is a very brave, courageous girl, has a lot of self-confidence. This will be a phenomenal trait to utilize when she is going under saddle - she should be one of the most dependable and fun mounts to ride! This trait, combined with her complete trust in humans, also gives her the ability to be able to excel in bridleless riding and recall work. (Recall is responding to hand and/or verbal commands given from the ground - such as crossing cavaletti's, jumps, etc. without a rider)
I truly love this horse and the decision to let her go has been a heart-wrenching one for me. She is absolutely GORGEOUS in every way - inside and out!!! Her potential as a National-caliber performance horse is AMAZING!!! My trainer is not very happy with me right now as he was really looking forward to Lily being his next "protege." However, I do not have the luxury of retaining very many horses and must make some extremely difficult decisions in order to pursue the direction I want to follow for my breeding program.
