Blurb About The Project:
In the fall of 2007 I started to juggle around some concepts for what would be the start of Convention Vixens™.
By the New Year of 2008, I began a casting for girls I thought would fit the role of a list of character ideas I had. I wanted these characters to reflect different genres of fandom and the costumes to be cosplay inspired.
Initially I thought with the creation of the costuming, the models would be photographed for a calendar series I had envisioned. But in the process of developing each girl's part in the group, backgrounds and stories started to come to fruition and laid out. Thus, the characters themselves became the main focus of the project and the casting of the models helped to bring the characters to life the fans could meet in person.
With this came my first collaboration with world renowned fantasy artist and illustrator Larry Elmore. He created a set of art prints depicting four of the ConVixens™ characters, .
It was then, I decided that I wanted Convention Vixens™ to go into a different direction, switching my attention towards it being more artwork, comic and storybook oriented.
For the continuing year of 2009, a second series of four art prints have been released by Sci-Fi and fantasy artist great, Matt Busch. These prints will depict ConVixens™ characters Bug, Major Blaze, Hotaru-Chan and Aika.
With more artwork collaborations in the works, a storybook series, comic and a never-ending supply of stunning models stepping into the roles of the ConVixens™, stay tuned to see the exciting conclusion of what's new with these ever developing characters in this world come to life called Convention Vixens™!
