Tentacles and Teeth

 

After moving back home to the Tampa Bay area in 2011, my art truly took off in a direction I had not intended... The familiar warm Gulf shores brought out a latent love for all things ocean; particularly the highly evolved hammerheads and the unmistakable octopus. Both unique, misunderstood beings are more than deserving of my best artistic representation- a mere attempt to capture their dark beauty, strange intricasies, and subtle character. 

 

​Tentacles and Teeth is my first exhibit in the realm of the deep, and is compiled primarily of my Hammerhead and Octopus studio studies, however it encompasses many other aquatic animals and seascape studies. These are the pieces that I get lost in far after the tide has followed the stars out.  It seems to be the best time to breathe life into these monsters of the dark depths that have captured my heart and inspired me deeper into their mystious world. 

 

I hope to bring this mystified wonder that I simply cannot deny out in you when you look upon these humble glimpses portraying misplaced nightmares. Let yourself be rapturously engulfed in their timeless and haunting impression.
