Charles and Debra Reynolds
We have been serving together as missionaries in Western France since 2002. Charles comes from Bedford, England and first arrived in France in 1994, living two years in Thumeries in the North and then four years in Angers in the Loire Valley. Debra was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia (USA) and it was during her study abroad at the Catholic University in Angers that she met Charles and decided to join World Horizons. Our daughter Cayleigh was born in August of 2007 and our son Jaden in May 2009.
Our heart has always been to encourage local churches as well as facilitate new forms of evangelism. However, a new dimension to our ministry opened up in 2004 after purchasing a farmhouse in the village of Sermaise, situated equidistant between the towns of Angers and Saumur. The renovations on La Source de Marzee lasted over four years and it was in October 2008 that the property was officially opened a place dedicated to hospitality and prayer. In addition, we continue to focus on friendship evangelism in particular though community service and seek new ways to touch the surrounding communities with the love of Christ. We are members of a French speaking Assemblies of God church in Saumur.
Our vision is to see people in the villages around where we live touched by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to see lives transformed, these people meeting in small groups, each with a desire to see more folks touched by God's grace, to see neighbours, work colleagues and others living new lives for God. We pray for God to transform villages and that we would join Him in the work He is doing.
We also seek to see our property used by God as He wills, for small Christian groups to have a place for retreats, for individuals to come and pray in a beautiful, quiet location.
