Bright Achievers
This programme is for children who are completing or have completed one year at school. Run as an after school club or holiday club, this programme reinforces and consolidates reception year learning objectives and introduces year one learning objectives. The main aim of this course is to: build confidence; develop communication and language skills; reinforce the basic essential reading and writing skills; and inspire a love of literacy.
A wide range of activities are included in the course such as specially designed literacy board games to widen vocabulary and promote language development (games such as word snap, word bingo, letter and sentence jigsaws, sequencing cards and dominoes); craft activities (teaching children to follow simple written instructions); specially designed reading books; letter sheets and worksheets.
