Growing up in rural Western Washington I was influenced by my family of musicians, especially Grandparents who played the guitar and musical saw. I was always on the player piano in their living room and listening to the radio my parents always had playing.
Currently I'm working with a band and studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I'm working on material for a second album. I wrote, recorded and performed on my first album, which was released in September 2006. "Moving On, Moving Forward", available on iTunes and CDbaby is very raw, just myself with guitar and piano. It has been described as "honest and easy to listen to". Boris Budd of Whats Up! Magazine in Bellingham, WA called the album "delightful" and compared my sound to artists like Neil Young and the Plastic Ono Band in a review of the CD published in August 2007.
This past summer I toured many venues from the Fairhaven in Bellingham, Washington down to the Twin Paradox Café in Portland, Oregon. Part of the tour was a stop in Seattle to play for two nights at a KIA Motors conference at the Hyatt Olive 8, with great feedback and support from the listeners at the event. I was also able to promote my tour by performing on the local Everett community radio station, KSER 90.7.
This Spring I plan to write, perform and record!
