Currently attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Allison Preisinger grew up in rural Western Washington influenced by her grandfathers acoustic guitar, her grandmothers musical saw and the player piano in their living room. Allison began writing lyrics at a young age and in 2006 she wrote, recorded and produced her first album, Moving On, Moving Forward which is now available on iTunes and CDbaby. Boris Budd of Whats Up! Magazine in Bellingham, WA called the album "delightful" and compared Allisons sound to artists like Neil Young and the Plastic Ono Band in a review of the CD published in August 2007.
During the summer of 2009 Allison toured the Northwest from the Fairhaven in Bellingham, Washington down to the Twin Paradox Café in Portland, Oregon. Part of the tour was a stop in Seattle to play for two nights at a KIA Motors conference at the Hyatt Olive 8. Back in Boston in the fall Allison performed as part of the Guitarist Singer/Songwriter Night at the Berklee Performance Center in November as well as at the Unplugged Loft Series in December.
This spring Allison has been writing and preparing to record her next EP. Her spring semester has started out brilliantly as she continues to study voice, lyric writing and performance from wonderful instructors including Kudisan Kai, Pat Pattison and Livingston Taylor. Allison is excited for everything this year has in store for her!
