This unique free website was founded in 2012 by 37 year old Dallas-based Stephanie, with the aim of showcasing local deals fitting into her nutrient-seeking diet. DFF promotes only healthy, fresh, sustainable food, letting visitors know about good deals in restaurants, healthy products as well as companies and farms which promote healthy living and eating. Stephanie’s website is rich in text and details, yet the smart integration of images and the use of bold fonts, differently-colored fonts and super-friendly navigation make this an easy, uncluttered and beautifully designed website a joy to browse and read. Each page displays navigations links in a full-width toolbar along the top, while the footer is dedicated to social media buttons and a link to the all-important Contact page. The “Food. Let’s Eat” page features recommendations for breakfast, lunch and so on, each sub-page opening to a gallery-like display, using an easy-to-update grid-styled portfolio with textual explanations on hover. Some pages, like the “Animals” page, integrate YouTube widgets providing further information. Stephanie’s Contact page features a contact widget which allows visitors to contact her quickly and easily through her website.
