But seriously folks, why have we created 79Degrees? Well because most cooking shows are utter nonsense that can leave a bad taste in your mouth. This site is less about food and more about food as a culture, the centerpiece of society, the centre of the home.
We will talk about good food from first principles. We are not chefs, we are not cooks, we do this out of love for good food and what it does to our lives and our familes. We will take the mystery out of good food; promoting the fun and stimulating aspects of cooking - not just eating!
We will showcase what to buy, where to get it, what you can do with it and how easy and healthy it is to cook from first principles as opposed to cooking from the can!
We will also look at wine and beer, showcasing the best and the worst. We will talk to winemakers and microbrewers to promote the art that goes back 1000s of years.
For us this is a hobby, a love that we want to share with you.
