Because when compared to rice, beans or smaller grains like flax or wheat...corn performs much better.
- It retains heat much longer
- It contours and molds to the body
- It provides a moist heat which is better for injuries
- Smaller grains dry out quickly and become a fire hazard
- It is less expensive and readily available in large amounts
- It can be reheated thousands of times and used for decades
We are a homeschooling family who began making cornbags 2 years ago as a craft for school. Mom has had one for over 15 years and the kids decided they wanted their own. It was a great way to teach them how to sew with the added benefit of giving them something to snuggle with on cold mornings or when they climbed into bed. Warming the bags is now part of the fall and winter bedtime routine. All we have to do is throw them in the microwave!
When they began proudly showing friends and family, the requests flodded in. Now the lessons have evolved from basic sewing to basic business!
Welcome to 3KidsCornbags!

We offer a variety of patterns and sizes. Patterns come and go depending on what fabric we have available. If you have a special request please let us know. The sizes are fairly standard and each have unique applications.
Long and Narrow are great for around the neck and for using while sitting in a recliner. We've found that we warm up the quickest by heating our necks.
Rectangular are great for low back aches. They also work wonderfully to warm up a bed or put on your lap. These seem to be the most popular because they're the most versatile.
The smaller sizes are perfect for coat pockets as handwarmers. Use them on the way to work or when sitting at a football game.
Long and Narrow [16" x 5"] - $8
Big Rectangle [8"x11"] - $8
Small Rectangle [5"x8"] - $6
Handwarmer - 2/$5
